Save Maranao Culture

Nowadays, Maranao people are very different from the Maranaos before. There are some changes that happened in terms of their manner of dressing, way of helding events, music, food, recreation and sports and even decors. As i observed, before, man wore Gora for headgear, malong, etc. Almost of them are decored with langkit. But now, man emaluate the crowd to carry the mselves. They wear just like the way how the western people do. So as with the women. There are also some changes in the Maranao ways of helding events just like wedding for instance. Before, they held wedding in the house of the bride but now sa function hall na talaga. Maranao wedding today is really different with the Maranao wedding before in a sense na kulang na lang ay isang pare and the way na magsuot yog bride ng gown. As what i have said, they really wear as the western people do. When it comes to Maranao music, only few now engage in what we called bayok or darangun. Many also don't have idea on what singkil is. Only few also know how to play kulintang and how to use apir ( Maranao fan used in dancing). During Maranao festivals, its rare that you'll see dodol, amik and bruwa and other Maranao delicacies. Instead, they prefer na maghanda ng mga ibang delicacies just like cake, spaghetti and any other delicacies which are not originally ours. Maranao decors just like langkit and okir are very rare in our houses, equipments and dresses. Regarding naman sa mga kabataang Maranaos ngayon, usong-uso sa kanila ang pakikipag Bf at Gf which is hindi pwede. There are big difference if we are going to compare it with the kabataang Maranaos dati. Before, a guy will go to the house of the girl so that he could court her at syempre alam ng parents ng girl. But now?? May makikita kang nagdidate kahit saan with matching holding hands.

ANDA DUN IMANTO SO MGA MERANAO?????
